World of Energy

 

 

World of Energy is a multimedia centre on electric power and the energy industry. It provides an in-depth, science-based insight into energy and how electricity is generated and its impact on our everyday lives, as well as the economic, social and environmental aspects of electricity production. It also gives a better understanding of the role of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and sustainable electricity production, with a special emphasis on nuclear energy.

World of Energy opened its doors in 2011 in Krško, the energy centre of the Posavje region and Slovenia, in close proximity to the nuclear power plant. It welcomes visitors of all ages, groups and individuals, everyone who wants to expand their horizons with new knowledge and experiences. On 550 square metres, the centre features interactive content, models, multimedia presentations, theme adventures and a wide variety of supporting materials for visitors to enjoy and learn about the world of energy, electricity and other related topics.
